COLVILLE, WA – USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports teams have been awarded $228,750 from the ACUI Clay Targets program. This donation will be made to the MidwayUSA Foundation’s Team Endowment program, which provides funding in perpetuity to promote youth shooting sports activities.

These funds were made available from the ACUI Clay Target Team Endowment Match offered alongside the MidwayUSA Foundation’s Online Donation Drive during September. Any collegiate team receiving up to $1,000 donation to their Team Endowment account received a 5:1 match, up to $5,000, from the ACUI Clay Targets program. This match was also made available to any USAYESS team as a way for ACUI Clay Targets to honor the life of Michael Borg, Co-Founder of USAYESS, who unexpectedly passed away in early September. 48 USAYESS teams participated in this ACUI Clay Target Team Endowment Match.

“I’m thrilled that so many teams participated in the match this year and that chose to do so in honor of Mike,” said Alyssa Drew, ACUI Educational Program Manager for Collegiate Recreation. “I’m sure he would be really proud of these students and their commitment to investing in the future of their team.”

USAYESS partners with the ACUI Clay Target program, the largest college clay target program in the nation, to offer college students additional shooting opportunities. All USAYESS state championships include a State Collegiate Championship open to all college students meeting ACUI Clay Target program eligibility criteria.

“We are extremely grateful for the partnership and support that ACUI Clay Targets continues to offer to USAYESS and the college shooting sports community,” said Brian Beard, President, USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports. “Our partnership with ACUI Clay Targets is something that Mike Borg was extremely proud of and we will continue to partner with ACUI Clay Targets well into the future.”
